I came here today with my husband and I am so happy there was no one out because we were able to walk out onto the sand. We walked, ran, and just soaked it in. Just overwhelmed with how neat this area is. Now the facilities are the bare minimum, but they do have concrete appearing campgrounds (not what I would want)...But they are easy fast access to the sand. We definitely want to come back and take an appropriate vehicle onto the sand. There is a fee, but not sure what that is. I am sure it can be found easily online.

Love the dunes!! Showers by the entrance could use updating! Plus the $10 per person to ride is pretty steep when other places aren't as costly! Camping is $18 a night for primitive to say the least

We have been coming here for 40 years. Love it!!! They have raised the price to get on the dunes. Whether you are a driver or a rider, anyone over the age of 10 will pay $10 per day to get on the dunes. The observation lookout is really neat. Only thing we would like more, is if they had more pull through camp facilities!

I came here and 4-wheeled in the park with my family over 15 years ago. We had an amazing day of it.

$10.00 per person per day just to enter the sand!!!! Not only did we pay for a weeks camping ( $180.00 ) but then we had to pay for a family of four ($40) per day for 6 days for a total of $240.00 just to ride!!!!!! Absolutely Ridiculous!!! We traveled all the way from Missouri and we will never come here again!!! Plus the camp sites are dirty and full of ants! The bathrooms are dirty and it cost to use the shower! Don’t waste your time coming here!

It was better than expected but park ranger was overly zealous because our flags were 6 inches too short made us go into town to buy other ones. There were at the most three or four other vehicles there. Not crowded, but he was insistant. So there went $50 additional money spent for two hours riding. Talking to the locals he is well known. They call him barney fife.
